Smoked Salmon Fat Bombs with Everything Bagel Seasoning make a fantastic keto snack for your low-carb diet. They're packed with flavor, and each "bomb" contains just one net carb.

What are Keto Fat Bombs?

Keto Fat Bombs are tasty little balls made with cream cheese. They are mixed with smoked salmon, capers, red onion, dill, and lemon juice. You can enjoy them as a sweet or savory snack. They have one carb each and they're a little snack to hold you over until your next meal.

They can also be served as an appetizer.

You can't eat a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese on keto, but you can enjoy bagel and lox fat bombs. They will fill you right up!

Using cream cheese as the "glue" and adding smoked salmon, capers, dill, and red onion gives you a tasty snack. This treat will satisfy your cravings without the carbs.

What You'll Need

  • Smoked Salmon
  • Cream Cheese
  • Capers
  • Dill
  • Red onion or scallions
  • Lemon
  • Everything bagel seasoning

See the recipe card for quantities.

Additionally, I got paper mini-cupcake papers to hold the smoked salmon fat bombs.

I rolled the balls and placed each one in a baking cup. Storage is much easier knowing they won't stick together. It also makes packing them for a car trip very simple.

About the Everything Bagel Seasoning

Everything bagel seasoning is a blend of sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried garlic, dried onion, and salt. Some brands include more salt than others.

If you can find an Everything Bagel Seasoning without added salt, use it. That gives you more control over the final flavor.

I used the same seasoning in my Almond Flour Breadsticks, but this recipe has more salty ingredients. Between the smoked salmon, capers, and the seasoning, it can tip salty fast.

If your Everything Bagel Seasoning contains salt, skip the capers. The flavor will still be right where it should be.

Instructions

  • Chop salmon, dill, onions, and capers.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, salmon, dill, onion, and capers with a rubber spatula.
  • Refrigerate in an airtight container for an hour to firm up the cream cheese.
  • Scatter the everything bagel seasoning (or sesame seeds) in a medium-sized bowl.
  • With a small scooper or spoon, scoop the mixture into 1-inch balls.
  • Roll each ball in the mixture. Place on waxed paper or in small cupcake liners.
  • Chill until ready to eat.

Variations

You can swap out any component of this recipe and have a great snack. Cream cheese fat bombs are easy to make and a tasty snack.

Everything Bagel Bombs: Use the cream cheese and everything bagel only.

Vegetarian Bagel Bombs: Leave out the salmon.

Poppy Seed Bagel Bomb: Substitute the everything bagel with poppy seeds

Sesame Seed Bagel Bombs: Use toasted sesame seeds in the place of everything bagel seasoning. (Sesame seeds are sold toasted. You can find them with the Asian foods.)

Store your keto everything bagel bites in the back of the fridge in an air-tight container. They should be good for about 5 days.

Storage

For best results, store the cream cheese fat bombs in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

For longer storage, freeze them in a single layer, then transfer to a freezer-safe container. Thaw in the refrigerator before serving. Do not leave at room temperature for extended periods.

Takeaway

While nothing beats a New York bagel, Smoked Salmon Bombs with Everything Bagel Seasoning are a tasty, guilt-free snack.

These fat bombs are 100% grain and gluten-free. They have no sugar.

Each ball has about 1g net carb, depending on its size.

Use paper mini-cupcake baking paper to hold the bombs. This way, storage is easier and they won't mesh together.
