Smoked Salmon Fat Bombs with Everything Bagel Seasoning are the perfect keto snack for your low-carb diet. They are flavorful and each "bomb" has one net carb.
What are Keto Fat Bombs?
Keto Fat Bombs are sweet or savory balls of fat, in this case, cream cheese, rolled with smoked salmon, capers, red onion, dill, and lemon juice. They have one carb each and they're a little snack to hold you over until your next meal.
They can also be served as an appetizer.
While you can't eat a bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese on keto, you can enjoy bagel and lox (smoked salmon) fat bombs and they will fill you right up!
Using cream cheese as the "glue," and smoked salmon, capers, dill, and red onion as the flavors, you've got a delicious little snack that will cure the munchies without the carbs.

See the recipe card for quantities.
Additionally, I got paper mini-cupcake papers to hold the smoked salmon fat bombs.
I rolled the balls and placed each one in a baking cup. Storage is much easier knowing they won't stick together. It also makes packing them for a car trip very simple.
About the Everything Bagel Seasoning
If you can find Everything Bagel Seasoning with no sodium at your grocery store, use it. I used the same seasoning to make Everything Bagel Gluten Free Breadsticks, but there were few ingredients for that recipe.
Between the capers, the salmon, and the seasoning, it came out very salty.
So, if you only have Everything Bagel Seasoning with salt, omit the capers.
How to Make Bagel and Lox Bombs
- Chop salmon, dill, onions, and capers.
- In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, salmon, dill, onion, and capers with a rubber spatula.
- Refrigerate in an airtight container for an hour to firm up the cream cheese.
- Scatter the everything bagel seasoning (or sesame seeds) in a medium-sized bowl.
- With a small scooper or spoon, scoop the mixture into 1-inch balls.
- Roll each ball in the mixture. Place on waxed paper or in small cupcake liners.
- Chill until ready to eat.
Variations
You can swap out any component of this recipe and have a great snack. Cream cheese fat bombs are easy to make and a tasty snack.
Everything Bagel Bombs: Use the cream cheese and everything bagel only.
Vegetarian Bagel Bombs: Leave out the salmon.
Poppy Seed Bagel Bomb: Substitute the everything bagel with poppy seeds
Sesame Seed Bagel Bombs: Use toasted sesame seeds in the place of everything bagel seasoning. (Sesame seeds are sold toasted. You can find them with the Asian foods.)
Store your keto everything bagel bites in the back of the fridge in an air-tight container. They should be good for about 5 days.
Takeaway
While nothing can take the place of a New York bagel, Smoked Salmon Bombs with Everything Bagel Seasoning is a super-charged grain-free snack that you can have without the guilt.
These fat bombs are 100% grain and gluten-free. They have no sugar.
Each ball has about 1g net carb, depending on its size.
Use paper mini-cupcake baking paper to hold the bombs. This way, storage is easier and they won't mesh together.
