How to Select and Store Bell Peppers
Luckily, sweet bell peppers are available at all grocery stores and farmers' markets. Choose peppers that are smooth and firm. The stems should be green, not brown. Blemishes, bruises, and soft spots show decay and should be avoided.
Domestic organic bell peppers are a healthier option than their conventional counterparts.
Store bell peppers in the crisper drawer of your fridge for up to 5 days.
If the peppers have any blemishes, soft spots, or mold on them, they should go in the trash; the entire item is affected.
