Welcome to Cooking in The Keys! I'm Felice, food and recipe developer, and food photographer in Key Largo, Florida.
My recipes are gluten-free and free from soy, corn, peanuts, yeast, added sugar, and processed ingredients. Everything is easy to prepare. I believe a diet of unprocessed foods is the key to good health.

I’m a former New Yorker and I’ve been loving life in paradise! The 120-mile-long stretch of subtropical islands is rich in natural beauty, historical sites, and the best scuba diving in the United States. Living in Key Largo, each day is a blessing. I live with my boyfriend Michael and our bouncing Bearded Collie, Fiona.
Currently, I work as a marketing consultant for emerging organic food brands. I've been in the grocery business for many years, and I get to be a part of the manufacturing and distribution processes of many brands.
It’s fun, and I’ve gotten to meet a lot of great people along the way. I also get to taste many products that are new to the market, and I will be sharing them with you!

Growing up, my mom would always tell me to eat my vegetables and to stay away from sugar. But as I became an independent adult, my nutrition took a backseat. I was on a Standard American Diet, often called Everything in Moderation. I took probiotics and some vitamins here and there and thought I was in perfect health.
A Gluten Free Diet Was Just the Beginning
Years ago, when I was working as a chef in Whole Foods, everyone was talking about the gluten-free diet. After years of denial, I tried the diet to see what all the hype was about. Much to my surprise, removing gluten from my diet improved my daily life tremendously.
The heavy, bloated feeling I used to get after eating disappeared. I learned that the less sugar I ate, the more energy I had. My digestion improved immensely, and I got to where I thought the whole world should be gluten free and made everyone know it!

I'm Now on The Kaufmann Diet
I was gluten free for three solid years and then found out there was more. I changed courses again and removed all the sugar and most processed foods from my diet and now follow the Kaufmann Diet.
Doug Kaufmann, of the Know The Cause television program, has put together a friendly eating plan that eradicates the fungi in the body and makes getting healthy uncomplicated.
