Low fat tzatziki sauce is a creamy Greek dip made with 2% Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon, and fresh dill. Cool, tangy, and ready in 10 minutes, it’s perfect with pita, vegetables, fish, and grilled meats.
Grate the cucumber on the large holes of a box grater.
Place the grated cucumber in a clean towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper.
Fold in the drained cucumber until well combined. Taste and add more salt or lemon juice if needed.
Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate for 1 hour to let the flavors blend. Stir before serving.
Notes
Storage: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Low-fat tzatziki may separate slightly as it sits, so stir well before serving. For the best texture and flavor, enjoy it within 2 days. Freezing is not recommended.Serving Suggestions
