Notes
HOW TO STORE RAW ASPARAGUSStore asparagus in a plastic bag in the refrigerator with ends wrapped in a moist paper towel. Alternatively, trim the ends, stand them in a jar with a loose plastic bag cover, and place in the back of the top shelf of the refrigerator; they will stay fresh for 3 to 4 days.HOW TO TRIM THE ENDS OFF ASPARAGUSSlice the ends off with the rubber band in place for a single cut. After cutting, remove the rubber bands, rinse under cold water, and stand the spears in water until ready to cook.
