Phase 2 Sides
The Phase 2 Diet is a perfect all-around diet of unprocessed foods.
All recipes are all free from wheat, soy, corn, peanuts, added sugar, and processed ingredients.
Phase 2 allows you to rotate in a few more foods (and carbs) that you eliminated in Phase 1. We have Kaufmann Phase 2 side dishes made with sweet potatoes, buckwheat, beans, and brown rice. Sweeteners such as maple syrup and honey are added in small amounts.
Processed foods should still be avoided but you can experiment with some legumes, honey, pure maple syrup, sweet potatoes, some cheeses, brown rice, and oats, which can be eaten in moderation.
